The State Archive in Gdańsk holds several private papers collections of people who lived and worked in the Free City of Gdańsk. Some of these papers contain political records and photographs, e.g. private papers of Jakub Deurer, Jan Grzankowski, Walther Recke, Heinrich Sahm, Stefan Hanski, the Kaufman family, Brunon Kurowski, Zygmunt Moczyński, Ludwig Noe. In the State Archives in Gdansk holdings are also records of famous Pomeranian families and thier estates .
